Fort Canning Park

A historic hilltop green with heritage gardens, spice plants, outdoor murals and paths through central Singapore.

A good reason to go

Choose a short garden loop or spend longer following the hill's historical layers, from the Fort Gate and former barracks to the nine heritage gardens and Spice Garden. The grounds are extensive and sloped, so allow time for climbs between entrances.

The park page lists no general entry charge; NParks confirms free entry to its Heritage Gallery and Spice Gallery. Parking, special programmes and organised tours may have separate conditions.

CHECK THE DAY

NParks lists the park as open 24 hours and identifies wheelchair access only from the drop-off point at Cox Terrace roundabout. Routes include slopes and steps, so check the current park map and access details before choosing an entrance. Visit Singapore recommends daytime visits because park lighting is unavailable after 19:00.
