06 PRIVACY NOTE

Keep the plan.
Keep your privacy.

This early version is built to help you plan without asking who you are.

What this version stores

If you add an outing to your plan, this browser saves that outing's ID in local storage so the plan is still here when you come back. The saved list is not sent to a FreeDay Finder account or server. The visit-date control on some outing pages compares your chosen date with the listed regular hours in your browser; the selected date is not saved or sent to FreeDay Finder.

Location, maps and directions

The map requests OpenStreetMap tiles when you open the map page. Those requests go directly from your browser to OpenStreetMap’s tile service, which can receive the usual request information such as your IP address and referring site. If you use nearby search, the map recentres around your approximate location; OpenStreetMap can infer the visible area from the tile requests. We do not ask for device location until you press “Use my location.” If you allow it, the browser keeps the coordinates in page memory while the map is open; FreeDay Finder does not store or send them to its own server, and nearby distances are calculated on your device. If you click a directions link while location is active, the origin and destination coordinates and your selected travel mode are included in the Google Maps URL. Google then handles that request under its own privacy terms. You can clear the location or simply leave the page.

What this version does not do

This prototype has no account system, ad network, analytics tag or third-party AI request. The share button opens your device’s share choices when supported; your itinerary link is sent only if you choose a destination there. If native sharing is unavailable, it copies the link instead. Official source links also open external sites, which handle data under their own privacy policies.

Sending a correction

If you choose the correction link on an outing page, it opens your own email app with a draft. The site does not submit or store that message. If you send it, we receive the email address and information included in your message so we can review the listing and reply.

When the site changes

Before we add advertising or analytics, we will update this note and review the consent and data controls needed for the places where the site is used.
