The Getty Center combines galleries with outdoor terraces, gardens and long city views. It can fill a day without a general admission ticket, although getting there and parking still need to be part of the budget.

Admission is free, but a timed-entry reservation is required. Parking is paid; food and shop purchases are separate.

CHECK THE DAY

The Center is open Tuesday–Friday and Sunday 10:00–18:30, Saturday 10:00–21:00, and closed Mondays. South Pavilion, East Pavilion plaza-level galleries and North Pavilion galleries are closed during renovations; check the current gallery notice. Parking is $25, $15 after 15:00, $10 after 18:00, and free Saturday after 18:00.
